I’m definitely more of a highstreet girl than designer; firstly because my funds don’t stretch far enough to fulfil my designer wishlist and secondly because I can’t always justify spending £50 for something I could buy for £1 in Primark.
However, sometimes it’s so lovely to indulge, especially if it’s for a staple and timeless piece that will be brought out and cherished every Winter.
I’ve been shopping at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth a lot lately. It’s an outlet shopping village so even though it’s still pretty pricey you get a lot of designer items for a fraction of the RRP!
This Lauren Ralph Lauren Ourea Faux Suede Waterfall Gilet in black is quite honestly the softest piece of clothing I’ve EVER worn. It’s a perfect concoction of fluffy on the inside and soft on the outside; and it teams perfectly with tight long sleeves underneath.
I also picked up these belted wool-blend gloves which fit me so snug. I always find gloves are too big and I end up taking them off to do anything but these are perfect for driving and doing usual mum jobs (not nappies of course).
