If you follow me on my social media accounts than I’m sure you’ll know that me and Pete are getting married! We got engaged back in September while on holiday in the Maldives but with all of the excitement of moving and having Jasper we put the wedding planning on the back burner β¦ until now!
We know that we want to get married next year as quite frankly 2016 seems a millions years away! Plus, Pete, Rhys and Jasper are all Avey’s now so I feel left out. I want to have the same surname as my son, not that that’s the most important thing but it does matter to me.
We’ve decided onΒ next July, purely because we want a summer wedding and we’re already quite busy in June and August. This gives us just over a year to get quite a lot β¦ a lot a lot, done!
So the venue is booked – Skylark Golf and Country Club in Whiteley on the 18th July 2015.They have a beautiful old barn where the ceremony will take place and then the reception will be in the golf club itself. The venue has a stunning view of rolling hills which will be an amazing backdrop to the party!
We’ve narrowed down our food choices, I have an idea of the theme and type of dress. I’ve also spoken to two photographers and a florist; but apart from the venue we have absolutely nothing booked! I’m going to be posting all about our plans, my DIY projects (of which there will be plenty!) and any bridezilla moments I’m not too embarrassed to share on here in a ‘Wedding Bells’ series so I’d love for you to follow me along the journey!
I know it’ll come around so quickly and I’m really excited to get going and make my Pinterest boards a reality!
Do you have any tips from your wedding day?
Are there any great wedding blogs you’d recommend I follow?
Thanks for reading!
