Hi lovelies, well as you all know we’re now back on track with our wedding planning and if you watched my most recent Chatty Vlog – Wedding Updates, then you’ll know that we’ve found a new venue and our wedding breakfast style has somewhat changed.
Initially we were planning a sit down BBQ. It would have been very casual as I definitely didnt want anything too formal; however we would still have been requiring table plans, name cards and table numbers etc.
Now though, our arrangement is so much more casual. It’s a kind of summer fete style (without all of the bunting) and we will be having different stalls of food like a hog roast, shish kebabs, toffee apples etc. Guests won’t be expected to sit at certain tables and in certain seats. This means that we now won’t need so much stationary.
However, as a keen stationary lover, I of course can’t leave my wedding paperless so I’ve been looking at all of the wonderful ways that I can incorporate some creativity into our special day. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that your wedding stationary should reflect your wedding style; your invites should give your guests a taste of what’s to come and your table plans and name cards should blend perfectly with your decor offering slight accents of your day.
With this in mind I’ve teamed up with the wonderful printed.com to show you some lovely ways to bring stationary into your wedding and we may even offer you some lovely goodies at the end! printed create all sorts of products from flyers and posters to brochures and stickers and you get to be the artist behind them all by uploading your designs. They don’t just deal in weddings but oh my is their wedding collection a bit of a special place to get creative! Just look at these invites, place cards, tables cards … ooh I could go on forever!
As you can see there are so many fab ways to have a running theme within your stationary. As I’ll be cutting out a lot of the costs (and stress) from creating table plans, place cards, table numbers etc; I’m thinking it would be nice to put a bit of effort into my menu and order of service. I’ll also be needing new save the dates as we’ve changed the ceremony date as well as invitations, rsvp’s and thank you cards!
As soon as I’ve decided on a colour scheme, Pete is going to design a bit of artwork to include in every piece of stationary and I cannot wait to see the finished result! Not only is it so much more personal to take this route with your stationary but it’s so much cheaper! printed.com have to be the cheapest place I’ve found so far for wedding stationary which is music to any brides ears!
Now as a thank you for listening to this bridezilla’s emotional wedding related rants; myself and the wonderful team at printed are offering not one but three lucky readers a voucher to spend at printed.com; £100 to one winner and then £25 for the two runners up! But wait there’s more, we’re also offering you all a 10% discount on all new orders of the wedding collection until March 31st 2015 using the code LILYPOD at checkout.
Good luck lovelies!
