Some homely touches with Vertbaudet*

We’ve been in our new home for around 3 months now and although I was so lucky that we didn’t need to decorate because the whole house was white walls and wooden floors; I’ve now started to get that itch to make it our own!

I’d put up a few pictures where there were hooks already and brought a few new plants to dot around our home but I was really excited when Vertbaudet got in touch to see if we would like to choose a few pieces from their website, and of course went straight for the home section!

I’d bought items from Vertbaudet before, some baby bits when Jasper was tiny so I already knew that they did a huge range of homeware, nursery, maternity, kids toys and childrens fashion.

I decided to get a couple of items for the boys shared room; Jensons half is jungle themed and Jaspers is space themed but he didn’t yet have any space bedding so I went for this Space Themed duvet cover and pillow case set which is reversible.

I also chose this Cloud Rug in grey. It’s quite large at 100×140 cm and is super thick and fluffy! It’s a dream to sit on in the boys room as they have wooden flooring so it gets quite chilly when we sit on the floor to play/ change nappies etc.

I also thought it fitted quite nicely with both the jungle and space themes.

Then I selected a couple of pieces to bring my home office together. It’s the only room in the house that has a colourful wall which is bright blue and although it’s lovely I needed some pieces to tone it down a little and make it my own. I went for a splash of colour with this Graphic Rug in yellow, it’s quite large at 133x100cm and is really grippy which is great on a wooden floor!

My office also a lampshade so I went pretty big with this Beige Rattan one and I just love the size and texture of it! Although it’s simple and minimalistic it makes quite a big statement in the room (although I do have to duck down when I sit down and get up from my desk now! haha)

I then chose a couple of fun bits for the boys because let’s face it, homeware isn’t quite as exciting for the kids as it is for us adults is it?

So as Jasper and Jenson are bug mad and always hunting for creepy crawlies in the garden, I thought these would be perfect – an Insect Aspirator and a Nature Observatory.

It’s a really gentle way to collect bugs to view without their heavy hands squishing them!

It was really lovely to receive the box from Vertbaudet and to place the pieces in the boys room and my office to give the rooms their final touches!

Have you ever shopped with Vertbaudet before? f you’d like to check out any of their homeware, kids clothing, maternity items and toys then definitely check out their website or see if they have a store near you!
