Rabbit’s Nursery Furniture

Furniture is the staple piece to any nursery. When we were decorating Jasper’s little room we spent so long trying to decide on the right furniture to go for.

Did we need a cot or cot bed? What kind of storage would we go for – wardrobe, cupboard, chest of drawers?

Was a changing station really necessary?

We ‘ummed’ and ‘arred’ so much and in the end we decided that we’d go for a furniture set rather than looking for separate pieces of furniture. We also decided to go for a cot bed rather than a standard cot as we knew it would then last Jasper up until about 4-5 years. Storage wise I thought a wardrobe would be best, with shelves so I could hang all of his cute little tops and stack his baby grows and sleep suits. I definitely wanted a changing station because I get a bad back and didnt want to be restricted to changing him on the floor.

With those decisions made, we only had one thing to do … find the best furniture set to meet our needs. I checked out loads of different sites like Argos, Mothercare and John Lewis but in the end we found our perfect set at Kiddicare.

The set consisted of a cotbed, wardrobe and changing station all for £499! There was also a great offer of 15% at the time so we got it for such a fab price including free next day delivery!

The set is the Little Acorn Vanilla Nursery Set and I love the neutral colours. He has a woodland theme in his room so the cream and brown goes perfectly! IMG_2247

I had to add this cute little Woodland Mobile to go with the theme 🙂 He loves it and really listens to it – I know this because he cries as soon as it stops!

The wardrobe is great because it’s full size so it’ll be used for a good few years! There are 2 hanging rails and 4 shelves so lots of storage, plus the two open shelves at the bottom which are great for displaying books and cuddly toys.

I think the changing station is my favourite part of the nursery. The curved edges look very vintage and the two open shelves are perfect for my wicker baskets. Inside there are two shelves so I use these for toiletries and nappies.IMG_2249 1

As well as the nursery furniture, I really wanted a nursing chair. Initially I was going to have my granddads old rocking chair but even with a cushion it still wasn’t comfy enough for night feeds.

We found this Baby Weavers Recline Glider and Stool at Kiddicare for £139.99 and I instantly fell in love with the colour scheme and how comfortable it was. I teamed it with a blanket that my mum gave me and it fits in perfectly with his little Woodland themed room.

IMG_2251It even has this handy side pocket perfect for a night time read!

I noticed that at the moment Kiddicare have 20% off all nursery furniture until Midnight on June 12th – definitely worth taking advantage of! You can grab the promo offer here
