Onto New Beginnings

Well a lot is changing in the Avey/Thornton household. 2015 started on a slightly stressful note; our wedding plans were going down the drain, myself and Pete felt at a crossroads with our working statuses and things just seemed to be piling up. They say bad things happen in threes and honestly I think we had a week of thirty! Nothing major, just little things like packages getting lost, refunds going missing, being poorly blah blah blah but when all built up they all kind of got on top of us!

Well that’s all in the past now. Pete and I both know how extremely lucky we are and I think because our lives are so positive when little things happen they seem much worse; especially if they come together like a domino effect. It all came and went and now thanks to some bold decisions and positive attitudes we have so much to look forward to!

Pete made such a fantastic decision to leave his job and go freelance as a consultant. He now has an amazing contract which unfortunately means he’ll be working away part of the time but it’s setting us all up for a very comfortable future.

As he’ll be working away or from home from now on, we don’t need to live in Alton anymore; this means we’re going to be moving! We’ve decided it would be better for us to live closer to my family as I’ll be on my own a lot of the time and don’t want to be too isolated. Initially we’ll be living with my parents to give us a chance to find the perfect house and hopefully save some money. We’re not sure how long this will be for but I’m really looking forward to being in a full house and having Jaspy live with Grandma and Granddad for a while!

We’ve also made some big changes to our wedding plans. We changed our date AND venue after a string of one bad thing after another. I am so so happy with the new venue and have no reservations which just confirms that it was the right (daring thing) to do! This has given me such a kick up the butt to get organised and I’ve since found and met with my dressmaker; found a wedding singer and booked our registrar!

We’re feeling so positive at the moment, things are really starting to look up and we know that 2015 is going to be a great year. Whats even better is that we know our future is starting to map out. We’re on track to getting a mortgage, planning when we’ll expand our mini brood and setting up a fab life for our boys!

I hope this hasn’t come across as a braggy post at all; I just really wanted to share with you the highs as sometimes I feel I can get caught up in the lows of sleepless nights and teething tantrums sometimes!

Happy Monday folks;

Thanks for reading,

    So glad things are looking up. I had such a bad run of luck last year and it can feel like a black cloud hanging over. Jaspy will love living with your family. Good luck with the move xxx
