I’ve never done a monthly favourites post. I seem to use products to death and then either get bored of them or use them up and forget about how great they were. I do love reading about/watching other bloggers and vloggers faves though, so I thought I’d give it a go!
I haven’t categorised it, it’s all just a big mixture of items that have made my May a little more lovely including homeware, baby, food, make up … you get the drift! So without further, from left to right …
Cashew Butter – Okay this isn’t just a May thing, I’m year-round obsessed! I wake up craving the stuff, on toast, with apple slices, in my smoothies – straight from the jar if I’m feeling nasty! I hate peanut butter (but love peanuts and satay sauce oddly) so this is my way to get that fix with a nut that I love! Almond butter is also up there but there ain’t room for two in this favourites list!
Alpro Coconut Milk – This has not only become Jaspy’s main drink but a massive fave of mine. I use it in my tea, cereals and as a drink on its own. Jaspy has it for two of his three bottles and I’m hoping the reduction in dairy with help his skin to get back on track.
Epilator –Yea this is a love/ hate kinda one. I HATE the pain but love not having to shave and have stubble after a day … on my legs that is, not my chin. It’s such a solid purchase, I bought it in China 4 yeas ago, used it on and off and then locked it away while I feared the pain during my hormonal pregnant and new baby stage. With holidays and our wedding coming up I thought it was high time to bring it back out and yes, these smooth legs are worth the pain!
Nutribullet – Yea boi, this little piece of juicing goodness has made mine and Pete’s May extra specially healthy and liquified! We love a smoothie in the morning and Jasper’s taken to it as well. With a £98 price tag from John Lewis it could definitely have been a lot cheaper; and okay, less expensive ones do the same job if you’re willing to wait a few minutes longer; but I’m a sucker for a brand and those 12 minute long T.V adverts that sold this to me from day dot.
Liz Earle Brightening Treatment Mask – Woop woop, I’ve found my favourite skincare range. It’s only taken me years of time, money and acne wasted on a range of useless products to find it but now that I’ve got it I ain’t letting it go! The Liz Earle skincare range is so amazing, it works on my skin and I especially love the instant brightening effects of the Brightening mask.
Chalkboard Flask (aka Magisso Cool ID Tumbler) – What better way to sip on your smoothie than in this awesome chalkboard flask. Write your name on it, or that of your guest for a quirky serving tipple. I prefer to use a chalkboard pen rather than the chalk it came with though as it doesn’t rub of. Pretty chic though ay?
Laying Finish by Kate Moss – Rimmel Lipstick in Rossetto – Oh hello Summer shade. I didn’t even plan this purchase, I just needed to spend over £5 in the pharmacy and this was the first thing I picked up; but wow I love it. I’ve worn it pretty much daily since I purchased it and I think I’ll be popping back for some more shades in that range.
Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion – This is a favourite of mine and Jaspy’s. I’ve been on the hunt for a natural and effective body moisturiser for Jaspy that I could use too and this one is wonderful. It leaves my skin super silky soft and relieves Jaspy of his itchy dryness that he gets from his eczema. It doesn’t do the job alone, he’ll definitely need something stronger to get rid of his sore patches but this definitely helps to frequently apply.
Rhubarb and Raspberry Bee Garden, Bee Fayre Scented Candle – This is the most beatiful smelling candle I’ve ever sniffed! It’s sweet and fruity and makes me feel like I have a house full of fruit smoothies and flowers. The melted wax can even be used as a massage oil … I just need to convince Pete to pamper me a little!
Rock of Feather Teething Necklace – Jaspy’s teeth have been causing him a spot of bother lately; I can’t tell which ones as his hands just go in his mouth and I can’t see or feel anything but he’s super dribbly. This necklace is simple and chic and is made from silicone making it not only relieving for Jasper to chew on but safe for him to do so.
Well that is it, my May favourites. A nice mixture of products that have made my May a tad bit wonderful.
