A few weeks ago we jetted off to sunny Mallorca for a long weekend and I thought I’d share with you my daytime outfits (aka swimsuits) that I wore whilst we were there. I loved sharing what swimwear I wore in Turks and Caicos, it gives me a push to make a bit of an effort even around the pool as when the #instahusband is willing to take a snap it’s take it or leave it (and use ya tripod) so I give it my all! Of course by the end of the day I’m rocking a mum bun with crazed baby hair and a sweaty upper lip but hey, baby steps right!?

In my previous swimwear post I’d found my all time favourite in the form of the embroidered number but I’m allowed to change my mind right? Because I think I’ve fallen in love all over again! I still took the good old embroidered number ( it would have been a crime not to) as it’s seriously so comfy and stylish but these are up there with my favourites and made me feel far from ‘mumsy’ whilst chasing the kids around the pool!

Day 1 – First day by the pool

Monochrome cut out swimsuitPretty Little Things (ASOS)

It’s comfortable, simple and a wee bit ‘shexy’! I feel I can say that if it’s said in a funny way right!? I love that it has a cutout stomach – not every mumas ideal but for someone who is confident in bikinis but loves the security of a swimsuit – it’s ideal! My tummy still get’s a tan, it also doesn’t sweat and monochrome is totally in right now! The only downsides were that being white it did get a tad see-through and I did have to keep checking that I wasn’t sporting any underboob in front of the in-laws!

Day 2 – Beach Day

Tropical Print SwimsuitMissGuided (ASOS)

I am a huge fan of leaf prints, they make me feel like I’m swaying in a tropical breeze whenever I wear them and this tropical print swimsuit was no exception – I mean I was swaying in a Mediterranean breeze so I wasn’t too far off right!? The print is bold and beautiful and aside from a little bit (okay a lot) of side boob that it showed, it was really comfy and kept me a little more covered up at the beach – I always tend to burn on sand so I wanted my stomach covered!DSC00175 DSC00181

Day 3 – Pool day

Frill Cutout Black Swimsuit – HM

Kimono – Steve Madden ( TK Maxx)

This is an oldie but a goodie. The black cut out swimsuit with frill neckline gives a little sass to the comfiest of swimsuits. It’s a bit of a faff to do up as it’s one of those ones that needs to be crossed over and tied up at the back but teamed up with my all time favourite Steve Madden beach cover up makes it look effortless. This kimono has been a staple in my wardrobe for a few years now, it acts as a cover up on the beach or by the pool, goes over dresses for cooler nights and I’ve even worn it with jeans and a tank top for a lunch date in the UK – tres versatile!

Day 4 – Exploring the town and lunch on the beach

Beach Colour Block Asymmetric Maxi – ASOS

Last but certainly not least, my new Summer obsession. My friend Livy told me that I look like a fruit pastel and I couldn’t agree more! This asymmetric colour block dress screams tropical paradise; it’s comfy, light and the perfect thing to throw on to go for lunch or for a stroll between sunbathing and a swim. Being such a thin material it is very see-through so it definitely needs to be worn over a bikini at least but it’s definitely one of my favourite Summer day time pieces!
