Garden time*

I won’t lie, I’m absolutely clueless when it comes to gardening. Its not that I’m not interested, I’ve just never had a garden of my own to work on so I remain completely un-knowledgable about which plant is a weed, how to turn on a lawn mower and how frequently you’re suppose to water plants.

We’re renting at the moment and do have a lovely little garden, it’s small but cute with a nice little decking area and boarder around the grass for flowers. Since moving here however I’ve done sweet f a and the result ….. an overgrown mess!

Our mindset has been that as we’re planning to move in September there’s no point spending time and money in the garden. It’s
such a shame though because the weather is beautiful and on warm evenings like we’ve had we’ve been itching to get out and relax in the garden! So, yesterday Pete got the ball rolling! We still have all summer here so we decided to make an effort and get garden furniture so we could chill in the sun!

Jasper loved relaxing outside when the sun had gone away. The breeze really settles him!

It was the perfect space to get a little bit of blogging done with a cuppa whilst watching Pete cook up a lovely dinner on the BBQ

Steak, halloumi and tomatoes on the vine …. yum!

I even lit this gorgeous lantern I chose from Viking Direct to review. I’d been keeping it inside while the weather was bad but now it has a firm place in the garden!

I also popped on a citronella candle to keep the mozzies away (not that I saw any!)

We’re now determined to make the most of our garden while we’re living in this house and plan to have lots more BBQ’s .. weather permitting!
