Well it is official, I am even more outnumbered than I thought I was … baby Avey number 3 is a deliciously cheeky little boy! I had an inkling all along, but I thought it was maybe because carrying a boy was all I’d known; nope this muma just knew!
I’d said all along that if we had a girl it would be wonderful because I’d experience something different and if we had a boy I would be over the moon to have a mini Jasper, someone to wear those outfits I just adored him in one more time!
We did plan to have the sonographer write the gender down but as part of our hospitals policy they couldnt do that so we found out then and there in the scan; I was so overwhelmingly happy I welled up and I’m certain Pete did too although he may tell you he just had something in his eye! There was no doubt though, before she’d even told us, BAM there it was! Little mans private area popped up very noticeably, so much so that even if we didn’t want to find out we would have known!
I honestly can’t describe how happy I feel; not only did I feel my bond grow instantly knowing that we have a little he on his way; but now I can start deciding on boy names, look for little man outfits and plan our lives as a family with three boys – oh my goodness three boys!! I am officially a boy mum, there’s no denying that!
So please do throw baby boy name ideas, clothing stores and tips on surviving a house full of testosterone my way and join me in the countdown to meeting our newest arrival, baby boy Avey!
