I have a confession to make. I’m a bit of a holiday snob. After years of holidaying abroad with my family and luxury breaks with Pete I’veĀ become kind of accustomed to boutique hotels and hot destinations. Don’t get me wrong, we pop down to caravan parks to meet with Petes family but it’s never our chosen type of holiday; it’s always to visit and spend time with them as a family.
So when Channel Mum told me they were sending me and my family on a surprise holiday ‘Centre Parcs style’ on the South Coast I had visions of scooting back to Chewton Glen and sipping champagne from a hot tub in a treehouse. I was sent a golden envelope which revealed the destination that was tailor made for tots under 5 … Butlins.
I won’t lie; and you can see from my reaction in my vlog review that I was slightly meh about it. My initial thought when I think of Butlins is theirĀ 80’s weekender which I’ve never been to but I’ve heard … wild things about! However I was open minded; the facilities for kids sounded great and I knew Jasper would love the Little Tikes land and Thomas the Tank Engine shows!
So with an open mind, myself, Japser and Jenson headed down first, followed by my parents the next day and Pete with Rhys the following. Butlins majorly exceeded our expectations. The Just For Tots week was as the name suggests, just for tots. The facilities were fab and the boys were well entertained! This isn’t a review blog post but I wanted to share my snaps and if you’d like to see our video review I’ll pop it below!
