* Bravado Maternity Bra Review

My boobs have had a lot going on over the past 12 months – if that’s TMI I’m sorry, but it’s true! In Feb last year I had a boob job going from a B to a D. That was absolutely fine, they healed really well and looked very natural; but then ….. I got preggo and the boobs got bigger and bigger! They still look natural, for a pregnant woman, but they are a lot heavier and sadly, have started to drop already – what a waste of money!

It’s so important to me now that I take care of them as I know that after breastfeeding and more babies they’re just going to head further south and look less and less like I planned them to look this time last year!

I was so thrilled when Bravado offered to send me one of their maternity/ nursing bras to review! If you don’t already know Bravado, they have an amazing reputation for making the most comfortable, stylish and high quality nursing bras.

It all started with two breastfeeding mumas at a kitchen table, who created their still top selling leopard print bra! Bravado has grown into a worldwide brand recommended by healthcare professionals and worn by celebrity mums including Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie!

Bravado allow hundreds of real women to test-wear their products to ensure that their bras are absolutely perfect – and I got to be one of those lucky mumas!

I wasn’t sure which style I would be receiving but after taking a look at their fab range I really wasn’t fussy, the whole collection is stunning!

I received this Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra – a very fitting colour considering it arrived the day before Valentines!

The seamless bra is described to ‘melt onto your skin’ and it really does! It is such a comfortable bra and sometimes I forget I’m even wearing it!

There are 4  size adjustments which makes it perfect for the ever expanding boobs of a pregnant muma to be.photo 3-20

The bra allows for full access for your baby as the cups unclip at the shoulder. Initially I just thought that this was beneficial for access but on the website it highlights the importance of skin on skin contact which is essential for establishing a good breastfeeding rhythm. I hadn’t even thought about that – something that made me feel really confident in the mission of Bravado!photo-24

The clip is really flat and doesn’t show up through your clothes, not even a vest which is great as, being pregnant, I’m always getting hot and bothered and tend to wear minimal layers!

I really am so pleased with this bra and the lovely ladies at Bravado had made my valentines extra special. It may not have been lacy lingerie but at least I doomed something red and felt a little bit sexy!

I’ve been looking at the other beautiful styles in their collection – the leopard print is a personal fave! Have a browse through there collection here … Which styles do you like?
