Whats in Jaspers Suitcase? – holiday packing for a newborn

SO in t-2 days Jasper is off on his first ever holiday! I would say that packing has been a nightmare but it’s actually been really easy … too easy perhaps? He’s breastfeeding so theres no formula, bottles or steriliser to take and he’s not old enough for proper toys so really he doesn’t need that much.

I did look at forums and ask around for advice but as my mum reminded me, we’re going to Lanzarote not the middle of nowhere … there will be shops if need be!

Ok it looks like a lot but bear with me, things will be rolled up and this will be between the suitcase and hand luggage.

To keep him entertained:

Even though Jasper doesn’t ‘play’ just yet he does have a few little treats to keep him stimulated and happy.

*Monsieur monkey from River Island has been in his hand ever since we got him – his fave perhaps?

*Ziggy zebra’s stripes really catch his eyes and help him to focus – fab during nappy changes!

*Bug ring – He likess to grip hold of this and rattle it about

*Lamaze feet finders – I think I love these more than he does but I want him to discover those tootsies of his so I’m bringing them along!

Pool essentials:

* Gorgeous little swim shorts from Tesco’s – £4

*I picked this fan up from Mothercare to go on his buggy and probably his cot at night time. I’m hoping he’ll like it as the bird face is kinda creepy!

*Hooded towel to make sure he’s warm straight from the pool

*My old scarf  from Thailand to act as a mosquito net, sun shade and wind breaker on his buggy!photo 3-70

The wardrobe:

Its pretty cool in Lanzarote at the moment but I don’t want him to get too hot so I’ve stuck to short slewed items.

* 3 t-shirts

* 3 pairs of shorts

* 2 rompers

* 1 pair of dungarees

* 5 vests

(I’ll do lots of #BBOTD’s  when we’re back 🙂 )
