This weekend we headed down to Weymouth for a little family staycation. We have one last family holiday abroad before the baby comes booked next week but we thought it would be nice to do a little staycation here on the South coast too.
We stayed at the Weymouth Bay Haven caravan park with Petes family and we had the most perfect weather for it! I will admit, caravan holidays had never been my thing. We never really did them with my family as we always had abroad holidays so I never really knew how much fun they could be! Since being with Pete we’ve gone a few times as his family tend to go once or twice a year as well as their abroad holidays. The first couple of times the weather wasn’t amazing so although fun, they were never my ideal but this time around the sun was shining and it really felt like a mini holiday. I think the boys being older helped too as they could run around exploring and really got into the excitement of being away from home.
We spent our days in the park, at the beach, swimming and exploring the nature trails. The facilitates are fab with kids entertainment and the arcade but the boys definitely had the most fun being outside in the fresh air running around like little wildlings! We could have done with a few extra days there to get to explore more of the surroundings so I think next time we may go for the whole week and make a real holiday of it!
Here are the pictures I took and please do check out my vlog which has a lot more footage of the caravan, park facilities and what we got up to 🙂
