As a stay at home mum who blogs and vlogs from home, I’m rarely out of the house without my Japser. We have our time apart when he goes to nursery but the majority of the time it’s us waving goodbye or hello to Dadda or our visiting friends and family. I’m always on the same side as Jasper, smiling from through the window while holding his tiny body and listening to his high pitched bye-bye’s and hiya’s.
It’s rare that I ever get a ‘welcome home’ but when I do, oh my is it wonderful. Jasper running to the door shouting Muma; seeing his excitable face through the glass that I’ve probably only seen an hour prior but it feels like months have passed. Seeing his breathe on the window as he presses his face on the glass to get a better look at me. Itching to kiss his squishy cheeks and smell his milky/spaghetti bolognase warm breath. Feeling his silky hair that’s just growing out of that awful short haircut he had – never again, and feeling his tiny hands cling round my neck as he scrambles to climb up me. That moment, well it’s beautiful. I may have only been to the shop for half an hour or I may have been away for a weekend-long hen do, but as soon as I get that welcome home, I really feel ‘home’.
Ooh this one especially melts my heart …
This is my entry to the Direct Blinds Uk’s best welcome home view competition. If you think you get the best welcome home then head on over and enter for your chance to win a new blind worth up to £200.
