Well lovers that special day that seems to be rather like marmite is approaching. People take to social media with either their gushing love for the red coated day or a sour taste in their mouths.

Although I do believe you don’t need Valentines day to make you show your appreciation for the ones you love, I do think it’s a nice thing to get involved with. You don’t have to go all out changing the decor of your home to reds and pinks; you don’t need to spend a fortune on diamonds and luxury items but a thoughtful gesture goes a long way.

I’d never expect a gift on Valentines from Pete. I’m very lucky that he is a fab gift giver but all I’d like is for us to have a bit of quality time together, for him to cook a delicious meal (something he loves to do anyway) and perhaps to receive a nice bunch of flowers.

Flowers will always be my top gift choice. Whether they’re a surprise delivery at the door from the local florist, a £5 bunch from Asda or a mini bunch selectively handpicked from the garden by my chubby fingered bambino Jasper. I always have flowers in the house and if no one has bought them for me then I simply buy them myself – ain’t no shame in that!

Well as a gift to one of you wonderful readers I thought I’d send you a bunch of red roses to brighten your day. With the help from I just love it the wonderful gifting site, you’ll receive a personalised red rose bouquet straight to your door.DSC00172

If you’re not the flower type then why not enter for a friend or family member? Everyone knows someone who loves flowers and who doesn’t adore the feeling of putting a smile on someone they loves face?

All you need to do is enter the simple rafflecopter giveaway below and I’ll announce the winner on the 26th Feb. They won’t arrive for Valentines but what a lovely way to prolong the ‘season of love’ or simply keep your home full of fresh blooms for even longer.

Good luck lovelies!
