This time of year is always an exciting one, the first crunch of fall leaves, Halloween crafts and Christmas shopping. It’s so fun and exciting especially when you have children to share it with; but this time of year also marks a monumental occasion in our history, Remembrance Day.
I’m a firm believer in that children should know their history and why we celebrate or do certain things on certain days. I want the boys to know why we celebrate Christmas and that it’s not just about presents. Equally I want them to understand why we wear a poppy around Remembrance Day and hopefully they’ll feel proud and grateful for the life they have because of those that lost their lives in the line of duty.
I’m so pleased to be able to collaborate with and share with you Buckley London, who are the official designer of The Royal British Legion Poppy Collection. They produce stunning crystal poppy brooches that you may have seen on the likes of the X Factor and Strict Come Dancing judges, Angelina Jolie and The Duchess of Cambridge.
What’s amazing is that not only are these stylish alternatives to the paper poppy that last a lifetime, but all net profits go to The Royal British Legion! Purchasing this 2015 official RBL Sparkle Poppy Brooch in large for £25 means you’ll be donating at least £8.33 to theRBL and you’ll also have a timeless brooch that you can wear again and again. The collection is updated every year so if you’d like to you can go for something new, maybe a ring or earrings.
Which one would you go for? If you do make a purchase from Buckley London Poppy Collection then take a snap and share it on social media with #BuckleyRemembers and don’t forget to check out everyone else.
