Jenson’s 9 month update

9 months. How is this little bear getting so close to being a one year old? I know, I know, I’ve still got three months and I shouldn’t get ahead of myself but it’s jsut flying by far too quickly!

The routine kind of went to pot during his eighth month of life. For about a week Jenson was hardly eating and went down to about two ounces of formula per bottle but started wanting them during the night too ( to make up for the lack of it during the day). He wouldn’t really nap but was falling asleep mid-play for random cat naps and then would make up for it with huge daytime naps and subsequent up all night antics!

He was irritable and clingy and just not his happy usual self but then he got another ear infection and just like that, the pressure was relieved and he started getting back to himself.

It took about a week of getting back into napping, building back his appetite and cutting out those night feeds but we’re finally nearly there. Everything is pretty much the same but he’s cut out his afternoon nap and extended his morning one, his formula intake is a little less than before and he wakes later in the morning.

Here’s where we’re at now:

8am – Wake and play in cot for 15-30 mins

9am – 6oz formula bottle

10am – Breakfast

11-2am – Nap (2-3 hours)

2pm – Lunch

3pm – 6oz formula bottle

5pm – Dinner

6pm – Bath

6:30pm  – 6oz formula bottle

7pm – Bed

Jenson is crawling properly on his hands and knees most of the time now and he gets into EVERYTHING. Nothing is safe from this kid and I’ve started having to move things from the tv unit and side tables as he’s gotten quite good at pulling himself up to reach all of the things he shouldn’t have like glasses of water and mobile phones!

Another milestone is Jenson can now do high fives although quite often he misses and goes in for a cuddle. He also does kisses but he gives me his forehead to kiss rather than his lips which is super cute!

Here is Jenson’s 9 month update vlog which goes into a bit more detail on where he’s at and includes some super cute footage of him!

Thanks for reading,

Aww, he is so cute! It’s so hard when they are unwell as their little routines go out the window and it’s not always easy to figure out why! Sorry that he had an ear infection but great to hear that things are going better now! 🙂 He’s such a cute baby, although i agree with you the crawling makes life so much crazier as they get into everything!

Hope you are having a great start to the week! I just published my first eBook so the week is starting brilliantly for me! 🙂
