Today I realised that I’ve been really slack on getting back into shape. I’ve done zero exercise except for our daily walks and my 2 day attempt at the squat challenge (30 day challenge) so I decided to start fresh.
Spare time with a 3 month old baby is scarce so instead of trying to fit in a yoga session or fitness DVD while Jasper naps; I thought I’d combine fitness with quality time and include the wee bambino in my attempts.
Now I don’t need to lose weight. Please don’t think that’s me being vein or showing off, it’s actually more bittersweet than that.
I didn’t gain any weight during pregnancy – sweet but I lost my butt that I’d spent months of squatting to gain!
So really I just wanted a routine for muscle building, core strengthening and general fitness and well being – here’s what I came up with:
