When it comes to buying baby and toddler equipment there are a few factors that I always look for; safety being number one and then comfort, practicality and price are joint second.
Of course style is great too but when you’re using something day in and day out it is so important to make sure that your child is going to be both safe and comfortable.
Longeivity is another factor that I’ve found achievable in things like cot beds and travel systems but until now in carseats I’ve always found that you either get one that takes you from baby to toddler or from toddler to child – never one that grows with your child.
Well, we’ve recently been trying out the Graco Milestone all-in-one car seat and I am so excited to have found a carseat that takes you from birth all the way to 12 years or 36kg/ 135cm (whichever comes first). It is literally the only carseat that you will ever need and I’m only sad that I didn’t know about it when both of mine were first born!
1 – Birth to 13kg – Rear facing harnessed infant car seat with plush inserts and two options of recline which are indicated in blue on the seat.
2 – 9 to 18kg – Forward facing 5 point harness seat with one option of recline indicated in red on the seat.
3 – 15 to 36kg – High-back booster seat again with only one option of recline position indicated in red on the seat. For this option you can safely store the harness in the back of the seat and use your cars 3 point seat belt to secure it.
Weight – 8.7g
Height – 65cm
Width – 45cm
Length – 51cm
Overall I absolutely love the Graco Milestone all in one carseat; it is an investment piece (if you can even call it that at only £149 and the only carseat you will need to purchase for you little one. I will definitely be getting a matching one for Jenson to see him from forward facing right through to the booster stage!
The Milestone is available at Mothercare, Babies R Us, Amazon, Halfords and many more stores so definitely pop down to a store and try it out if you’re looking in the market for a carseat!
