A little while ago I announced that I was joining the Graco team as one of their Generation Graco 2017 ambassadors; well as part of my role I’ve been busy behind the scenes trying out some of their fab strollers, travel systems and car seats which you may have seen featured on my youtube channel and social media ( if not there will be reviews a plenty on the blog very soon! )

Another wonderful part of my role is to be able to attend fab events to not only learn about the brand and products but to get to know the team and other lovely influencers who have teamed up with Graco! Well you may have seen our first event at Legoland but this time it was a quick trip to London for the Graco Baby Boot Camp!

It was a fun event kitted out like a baby friendly bootcamp – think white army netting, a pushchair obstacle course and a soft play photobooth. I took Jenson with me in our new Graco Breton Evo which got so many compliments on the journey up there (stay tuned for my review); and he had a ball crawling around with the other little ones and trying to escape out of the door – he’s such a pickle!

Amongst the scrummy breakfast and activities there was a talk from Sarah Redshaw from the Baby Centre which I’m pretty sure every mother out there would have resinated with! She gave her top tips for having a new baby and I literally nodded the whole way through – here’s some of my favourite points:

” You will feel vulnerable – but this will pass. Whatever your expectations are, lower them. Remember to look after yourself “

” All babies reach milestones at different times, whether it’s responding to sounds, lifting their head, staring at faces, following objects, smiling and more! You will always meet mums who’s baby did everything better and faster than you. Don’t be fazed by this! “

” It’s normal to worry – the most common questions we see on the BabyCentre website are about skin conditions and baby poo! It’s normal to worry, but you’ll find you relax as your baby develops and you get to know each other. If you are really worried, see your GP/midwife/health visitor “

” Get prepared. Before baby arrives, set up an online shopping account. Netflix and Amazon Prime are also good subscriptions for new parents! Most of these subscriptions have free trial periods. Be sure to write down your login and password somewhere! “

” Keep a small screwdriver in house – musical mobiles, white noise toys etc all require a screwdriver to get into them! And stock up on the batteries you might need for toys “

There was also a fab display of some of Graco’s top products and the one that particularly caught my eye was the Move With Me Swing and Soothe – a baby swing suitable from birth – 9 months. I’m so gutted that Jenson is too big for it (baby number 4 anyone? haha) because it really looks like such a revolutionary product in the baby swing market. The toy bar doubles as a handle to carry the swing; I mean we all use the bars to carry don’t we but this is meant for that purpose meaning that it is actually strong enough, comfortable enough and most importantly safe enough to do so! It folds flat for easy storage and has an Mp3 adapter so that you can use your own music – it honestly looked amazing!

Another product on display was the Evo travel system and as we’d travelled into London that day with our very own one I felt a little smug that I’d already given it a test drive and knew all about it! As mentioned earlier we have the Breton stripe design and it has been my go-to pushchair ever since! It’s stylish, practical and so easy to use – plus it matched Jenson’s top so it’s a winner right!?

I will have a full review of it coming soon so do stay tuned!DSC00983 DSC00952

Well thank you for a wonderful event Graco, me and Jenson had a blast! Don’t forget to stay tuned for some fabulous baby reviews coming your way!
