When I hit the 3 month pregnancy mark I also hit the – is she pregnant or just a little tubby round the tummy? mark too. My normal jeans and leggings felt too tight so I got over excited and picked up a load of ASOS maternity wear – only to realise it was more suited for women with actual bumps, not bloated bellies!
The jeans fit okay but as I’m so short they ruched up on the legs making me look dumpy and all of the dresses and tops just looked like tents, so they’ve been put away until bump is a little more grown. This left me feeling a little lacking in the clothing department so I decided to just go for ‘normal’ clothes with a bit of give. Not upsizing but simply going for stretchy materials and oversized tees – the kind that are meant to be oversized.
Here is a little gem I picked up while browsing online, it’s the ASOS.com midi dress with curved hem in blue and it is seriously comfy!
I bought it while the weather was cooler so struggled to find the right tights and footwear but now that it’s acceptable bare leg season, I’m loving it!
Not only is it (in my opinion) stylish and chic but it’s long and comfy enough to be running around after a toddler in and it fits over my bump well with plenty of room!
Worn with: ASOS sandals || Accessorize necklace || Accessorise sunglasses
|| Storksak Sofia Tan bag ||
The only downside is that I wore frilly knickers underneath and being non maternity the dress isn’t made from thick and stretchy material to cover this – fail on my part!
Stay tuned for more maternity style posts, I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy styling them 🙂
